Enrol to Vote

If you are a property owner or a leesee responsible for paying rates in the City of Sydney then you may be entitled to vote.

This website provides assistance for business owners and ratepayers who want to enrol on the non-resident roll.

Who can Enrol

A person can enrol to vote as a non-resident elector if the person is an owner of rateable land, or is a ratepaying lessee. (Use the "Individual" enrolment form.)

If you are a resident of the City of Sydney and also own property through a corporation or partnership, you may nominate a non-resident to vote on behalf of the corporation or partnership. (Use the "Corporation/Partnership" enrolment form.)

How to Enrol

You need to fill in the relevant form and send it to the Electoral Commission for NSW by close of business, Monday 4 August 2008, in order to be on the roll.
